i am getting annoyed.
facebook keeps changing and there is never warning. You go on line one day and your favorite feature disappears.
i loved reading my satus history as a living account of what my life has been like and now that feature has been phased out.
So please excuse me using the blog to archive my life and experience here in Nablus:
Aug 23: Maggie Dobbins
had a great day!!! it involved going to tel aviv in a car that had GREAT air conditioning, sitting in an airport with GREAT air conditioning, going to a super supermarket with GREAT air conditioning and coming back home in a car with GREAT air conditioning... it was a very very great day for Maggie!!!
Maggie Dobbins is about to begin her first Ramadan feast.... today when i went to the store i was SOO thirsty i almost opened the water on the way out to drink some and then i remembered i had to go home and drink in the privacy of my house as to not offend anyone! if your not fasting, can you still feast???

Maggie Dobbins was at the "nablus country club" last night when the announcement was made.. "Ramadon will start on Saturday not Friday" you could see the intensity of the partying pick up!!!

It is nice to know they are just fire works right now... (or at least i just think they are) Everyone seems to be partying today.. Our neighbor just sent us up some chicken kabobs from his family party.....

I noticed the noon prayer was profoundly quieter... i guess the are turning up the speakers on the morning prayers to really wake everyone up so that they can make sure to eat breakfast before fasting all day.

Maggie Dobbins had an amazing morning talking to my old student from China, Eileen and then I heard from another student from Korea that I lost track of 4 and a half years ago. and then another who has been teaching in korea.. I love my old students!!!!

i feel so settled about something and then ten minutes later i have completely changed my mind. I thought i knew what God's plan and path was for my life and then life gets in the way.. i usually enjoy all the twists and turns life presents but then there are times where they give me an anxiety attack. I can never decide if i am the laziest person in the world or a very pro active one... can you be both? Can you be both totally laid back and anxious all the time?

Maggie Dobbins has made three trips to tel aviv and one to jerusalem in the past four days... I am happy to be back in Nablus and ready to crash out on a couch with facebook for a week!!!

Maggie Dobbins off to nablus in a few minutes will have to drive across the desert in the burning summer sun with no air conditioner.... and will have to hope to fine a check point that will let me into Nablus with the car... hopefully the Samaritan checkpoint will be open even though it is shabbot

Maggie Dobbins is off!!!!!! (Inshallah) to Jerusalem to catch a bus to Eilat to catch a taxi to the border to catch a taxi to Petra to see greatness... (i strongly encourage everyone to watch Indiana Jones 3 tonight to see Petra where I am going.... the fictional home of the Holy Grail!!!)

is really reallly ready to go on vacation for a week or so after her third trip to the ER in four days.. Today it a kid who fell off a stair case and bashed open his head.. 15 stitches, a few x-rays later and a huge apology to his father, they only c...harged me about 18 dollars. I am done with the hospital and ready for the beach!!!
